What out of all the new units and abilities do you think was the best?
Best unit? Best equipment/ability?

best unit for me is ether the piranha or vespid.
best equipment target array for suits hands down.

Hard points for stealth suits was pretty good.
And I love the command control relay node. Cheaper Ion Cannon is a good thing too.

CIB/Plasma Shas`el combo.
Oh, and the improved gundrones (leadership issues fixed up a bit)... Sniperdrones aren`t bad either. |

Everything in the Tau codex works symmetrically. Unlike some armies, there's no real tooled up unit or vehicle that can demolish enemies.
That said, I really like the Pirhana for it's quarter-grabbing capacity in Cleanse games, and the Skyray as a mobile markerlight platform.

Best unit: Sniper drones, they give you a huge amount of ap3, along with some bs4 markerlights.....
Best equipment/ability: Hard points on the Stealth suits, which are then filled with Targeting Arrays....MMMM...Infiltrating BS4 burst cannons....plus any ML support... make that BS5..... |

Best New Ability: Markerlights. They're just so useful now. The hardpoint upgrade of Stealth Suits is a close second, though.
Best New Unit: Sniper Drones. They're great, a nuisance to get rid of, and come with a Markerlight. Best New Equipment: Cyclic Ion Blaster. It just hurts things. Mind you, these are all my opinions...

New ability: markerlights more usefull and better overall
New Unit: The piranhas for the jeting and fusioning New Equipment: The CIB or Gatling Stobe Light of Doom GSLoD. New Price: The Ion cannon is cheaper which is great and also as a side note the flamer is cheaper too which can be a cheap weapon to fill the third hard ponit on Death rains. |
