Quite simply, do monats with full wounds score victory points? Can they claim table quaters?

My mind's gone blank, and I can't remember which page of the rules might cover this, so point me there and I'll figure it out myself.

As long as they have taken no wounds, they count as full strength, and thus could contest.

They don't count as all on your own, (or below half for that matter) as they started out as a squad of one.

Non-independent character monats are indeed scoring units. See page 85 in your rulebook. They are a "non-vehicle unit*" that start with one model, but are still a legal scoring unit. The "*" is to note that when the unit includes multi-wounded models, you use wounds to count if the unit is above/below 50% strength, not the model number.

Your Monat has two wounds. If he takes 1 wound, he's at 50% starting strength and still scores (note: the rules state you must be below 50% starting strength, anything above or at 50% is still scoring). If he loses the other wound, he's dead obviously. So your monat, is a rather decent scoring unit.

-- Just to note, this is exactly why Carnifex and Wraithlords are scoring units yet are only one model. We can do the same with solo Crisis and Broadside battle suits.
