Default Transports.

I know it is pretty obvious, but i do not get one certain aspect of this game. If thats say, a FW squad and a devilfish are one FoC slot, do they have to stay together? Like if the devilfish drops them off at a good position, does it have to stay with them or can it move around?

As far as I'm aware, which is pretty far in this case, they can go zooming off anywhere you like, but cannot pick up anyone else but the dedicated unit.

I sometimes keep a Devilfish in cover, and only move out when the firewarriors need collecting.

Read the first paragraph on page 81. They even give you an example, of how a unit does not have to arrive in its transport vehicle. They are separate units, even though they occupy the same force organizational chart. And the transport is dedicated, which solely means you cannot transport any other squad except that it was purchased for, and that it is a non-scoring vehicle no matter what. But it does not mean that you must always keep your transport and squad together at all times--they're separate, even for victory points.

Cheers!
