Default Pathfinders

So I know we've got our thread about how much the change sucks for us, so that's not the purpose here, but I just wanted to see how many other people made the mental note right way to toss their PFs and put something else in and if so, what.

Personally, I'm looking at it as an opportunity for a piranha or maybe a crisis suit or two; maybe even another stealth team since getting that fish in position to use the scatter reroll and DS will be a pain now.

No, pathfinders are my homies. :P

I still use them, it's just a little more difficult to come up with tactics for them that will match the effectiveness of the old ones. Gives me a challenge, and I see no point into dumping good models I spent time and money on.

I simply don't have any... yet. And I still plan to get some. And I also plan to give Games Workshop hell for this.

as stated i the other thread only out if playing Omega

otherwidse, markers have a decent range (I now learn to check my ranges after thinking that bolt of change was only 12"

and their devilfish can take seeker missiles

the FAQ limited their scouting bu they still have markerlights and seekers and rail rifles

The models still look badass, they're still some of the coolest troops in the Tau army and markerlights are still awesome.

Every game I've used them in has resulted in them dying by various horrible means but I'm determined to learn how to use this unit. They're tricky but rewarding. This FAQ makes no sense and does hurt the pathfinders.

However I'm confident this FAQ will be corrected at some point (hopefully sooner rather than later).

But in the short term I am going to start using them more.

I just simply ignore the FAQs (and my Nid friends too), so I still use Pathfinders.
