If you can afford them, go for it! (Personally i use blue tack, but it can be hard to get off, and shows over the paint job of the model, but costs much less)

for the xv8's you can magnetize but i don't think it will be enought to hold the metal weapons, but for the regular weapons, affter they are painted i find they stick on pretty well without any glue at all! the hammerhead is a deffinate yes if you ever want to use the ion cannon. piranha you probobly only want to run them with fusion, but i am not even sure how the model is put together since i have none. the other vehicles don't require you to glue on any weapons, but mabee you should make magnets for my skyray's missles. i just used a tiny tiny bit of glue on my skyray's missles so i can bust em off when i get around to magneting them.

there is a good conversion part about it on this website, look it up!

Depends on whether or not you want to change your army list without buying duplicate models. For instance I only have 4 tanks. But since I magnetized the weapons and didn't glue anything on permanantly, I can play them as any tank I want. When I bought them 3 were sky rays, and the otherwas a hammerhead.
I can run any combination of 4 Devilfish, Ionheads, railheads, skyray.

Sure beats buying 12 tanks to accomplish the same thing as 4.

Thanks for the feedback but I was wondering would 3mmx3mm rare earth magnets (100 magnets for 11$ ebay hahahaha) be small enough for the battlesuit weapons?

3mm might be a little large. The surface you are setting them into is only about 4mm wide. You will need to be very careful what kind of bit you use to drill the pockets.

i dont know for sure but assuming that is the same as 1/8" ones that i got they are just barely small enough. They are the perfect size for magnetic bases but allow almost no error drilling into a xv8 arm. How ever if you drill threw one no biggy, just flatten the hole and green stuff it. It'll be on the inside wrist anyhow so not like everyone will be looking at it. Or you can just get the what i assume are 3mm by 1mm ones for the weapons but they probably would come off alot easier.

In a word: Yes. It will allow you to counter any enemy you go up against easily. Plus, if you play at a hobby store two games in a row, the second guy might be a bit suprised when you swith all your weapons so they are tailored to killing his army. MUAHAHAHA! >

Also don't get magnets that are too thick. Otherwise you would have the weapons stick out a bit!
