Default Kroot Kill Team

I'm in the process of starting a Kroot Kill Team but am slightly confused by the rules.

The rulebook states that I can only use "one wound" models. However, in the Kroot example shown several pages later there is both a Shaper and a Krootox in the team. Both of these have 3 wounds.

Any clues?? ???

It does say in the rulebook that such rules can be broken if you have your opponents permission. However, they also get an extra Brute squad and 25 points to spend on their Boss.

What Faolin said is true: only with their permission, and if broken, they get 2 extra brute squads, and 50 pts (If you break rule twice for shaper and Krootox, that is). IMO kroot wouldn't be a good choice b/c without a shaper, No Armour saves, and even with an AV, 6+ won't help that much, unless you use loaded dice lol.

I've beent thinking, what kind of units could be used in a Tau Kill Team? Tau arn't known for their assasination skills or steal, are they?

Vespid are the best Kill-Team, because 9 of 'em (including Leader) are 150pts and they move so fast that there's not much to stop'em. Sure, you get a lot of klaxons real quick, but it won't matter because as long as you engage one Brute Squad at a time, that's no one left after a shooting phase.

you can't use jump infantry in kill team that rules vespid out

Well if you can't use jump infantry, that rules out stealth suits as well. Which leaves pathfinders and fire warriors....whoopee

I'm pretty sure you can use Jump Infantry in Kill Team. It's just that every time you move more than 6 inches or you use the Jump ability you get a klaxon counter.

however the only thing that gives them the 'jump' ability is the fleet. I dont think that they would give klaxon counters for using that.
