Default Tetras

Hi,

I haven't purchased the Imperial Armour 3 book yet, but I was wondering about the Tetras. I think the model looks great, but I'd like to know a little bit more before I drop $100+ on the book

Has anyone used them yet? How did they do? Can you tell me a little bit about them without infringing on copyrights?

Thanks.

Scott

I'm still waiting for the book. It will either come in today or tomorrow. Hopefully today.

Essentially they're fast (very) lightly armoured skimmers with a Markerlight and twin-linked pulse rifles. They can be taken in squadrons of up to 4 and cost less than a piranha.

That's about it.

Well ya, but they could be a waste of points but I guess not.

Tetras are cool for one very good reason. They have a BS 4 Markerlight and it's a fast vehicle. The armor is like a Land speeder, and they can take a Targeting Array, but no seekers.

Tetras are mobile markerlights. Which is sooo good for Tau. Fragile, so you have to pick your battles, but they have the ability to really alter the game. Good times.

I'd rather have one of those than piranhas. Too bad they can't hold a seeker though, then they'd be a near-perfect support skimmer...

That's probably why GW never made it legal...

I wish GW would have allowed the model, cuz it looks so sweet! ;D Why couldn't they have simply tweeked the rules to fit what they wanted??? Oh well, I guess I'll there's always hope.
