Default A proud day for the Tau'va.

This is my proudest moment.
Last night while playing a game against Tyranids (Godzilla list)
In the closing turn of the game, I was down by 200 Victory points, and all I had left was a stealth suit and one lowly fire Warrior.
My opponent had a Warrior Brood and a hormagaunt brood and a Carnifex.
I thought for the hell of it, why not charge his Fex, with my lone Fire Warrior.
The fex had two wounds left.
The fex had 2 wounds left, a 2+ save and T6, S10 Sycthed Tail, and Crushing Claws and Talons.
I struck first (higher I) rolled a five and six to hit. Two sixes to wound. Dumb founded, I rolled Snake eyes (two ones) on the save!
I nearly died!
My TAU FIRE WARRIOR KILLED A TYRANID CARNIFEX WORTH OVER 200 PTS!
The Dices Gods where kind. I must sacrifice a child now...

MOTHMAN!

pulse rifle double tap to the head. one shot per eye.

cool story man. now take that glorious little fire warrior, repaint him to the best of your ability, rename him (y'he'vre, or y'he'el is tau for carnifex, i think, so y'he'vre'shi is good-carnifex victory, or victory over a carnifex) and convert him with a carnifex head on the base with two massive pulse rifle wounds on it.

well done. you honour the tau'va.

Whoo!

Sweet victory! But did you win the battle. I suppose so cuz the armour saves aren't that high.

Once again congrats. The Aun's will be pleased.

Mothman, I can only think that poor fire Warrior had a photon grenade and shoved it into a hole in the Carnifex's hide and then ducked. The photon grenade detonated and took the dumb beast on a nice ride straight to Hell.

Calo Nord-style!

In a 500-pt game once my FWs got charged by a squad of Dark Eldar Warriors and a Haemonculus, defeated them in combat, made a sweeping advance, and wiped them off the table! For weeks I was known as "Super Close Combat Tau Man," and I partially repainted the squad and now use it as an Honor Guard.

This was not done in shooting.
I arm with Carbines,
This was done IN CLOSE COMBAT!

He has a trophy of a spike on his backpack and a nid head on a mount attached to unit's little hovel on my board. And their devilfish now has a tyranid carapace over the left hatch, as the same fex breached their fish, causing them to bail.

I love the trophies. Nevermind that you squeaked out a draw based on pure blind luck, instead gloat for all your worth because of your pure blind luck.

Isn''t the Carnie head BIGGER than the FW itself?

I'm pretty sure it is... Well, maybe not if you don't include the neck... or the tongue... or the tusks...

That kind of riminds me when I killed a Terminator using an Eldar Ranger, but yours outshines mine by far.

So, what's your secret? Did you sacrifice a virgin to the dice gods? I normally use sheep, since virgins are hard to find these days.
