Well, after taken a year hiatus from warhammer I was brought back by a friend. I left a little before the new codex came out and I am out of the loop. so, I came here to get some answers. I know I should pick up the new Tau codex. But, what about all the other new toys that comes with the new codex? Is there anything that screams "must buy" in the new codex.

Oh, wait. It's Tau Empire now.

Well, if you ever plan on getting another Tau skimmer (hammerhead, skyray, or devilfish), get a skyray, because they contain the parts to build any one of the three

Do they include the Railgun and Ion Cannon?

That seems awfully unlike GW to skip the chance to make people pay $50 twice for a tactical option.

I was considering getting a hammer head and looking for the skyray turret parts on ebay but if the skyray box includes both that is a much better deal, whay would anyone buy the hammerhead.

I would get sniper drones. Space Marine killers.

It seems that everyone is looking for anti-marine toys, since (not surprisingly), most players play SMurf. However, I like to create an all-comers list. I usually never try to tailor a specific list for a specific army. So, my suggestion is: parihnas, skyray and the new commander. All units possess some serious firepower and all for a relatively cheap cost.

I don't like the skyray much (model wise) so I'd buy the phirana and shadowsun... such a cool model 8). Vespids are good in bothw ways (models are awesome and they can kill anything from marines to dark eldar raiders) some XV-25 for stealthsuits woudln't go amiss and i'll stop there before your too deep in debt...
