Default Can a Crisis Suit take two identical non-twinlinked weapons?

Can a Crysis Suit take two non-twinlinked weapons that are the same by paying the points cost twice?
Eg. Two seperatley firing plasma rifles for 40 points.

Nothing in the codex seems to say this cannot be done, it only says that you can get twinlinked systems for the costs indicated and that crisis suits have only three hardpoints and cant take three of the same weapon. I havent seen it mentioned around here though it seems to be a very useful tactic if it is possible, six plasma rifles per squad anyone?

Any insight would be appreciated

Thanks

No you can't. If you take two plasma rifles they become twin-linked and they get the second points value.

Nope, you can't. It says somewhere that if you take two weapons, they count as twin linked. Thus you can't have two separate weapons of the same type.

Also answered in our FAQ thread (see stickies), which is where questions etc should go.

Thanks, I've been wondering about this for a while, it's a pity

What if you took three plasma rifles. Couldn't you technically have one twin-linked and a second single-linked? :P

Nope, You can not take three of any weapon. If you were being sarcastic, then I apologize.

Nope. In the dex, it says, "If you take 2 identical weapon systems, they fire as 1 twin-linked system".

Also, as KCK pionted out, you can't have 3 identical weapons.
