Default Battlesuit Upgrades?

I am unsure what battlesuit upgrades i should buy for my commander. I usually buy multitracker but sometimes take orbital relay or stimulant injectors.

Just wondering what upgrades you take on your battlesuits and commanders?

I always have Multi Tracker , and I'm starting to really like Stim Injector .

Any thing else would be point and enemy dependent.

Vectored Retro Thrust would be high on the list of extras.

I really don't like the Positional Relay or the C&C Node.

I'd like to quote one of the other players ((im really sorry i dont know you name pm me and ill change this)) "Damn the points efficencey i always mount three weapons" other than that i think that feel no pain would be an awesome upgrade... Does anyone actually buy sheild/marker drones for crissis?

I love the multi-tracker since it lets you use both of your weapons.

I agree with saint about multi tracker and stim injectors.
Just watch out for S8 weapons and above.

I'm seriously considering a Ninja Shas'o armed with Flamer, fusion blaster, retro thrusters and failsafe detonator - just for fun.
If anyone does kill him in combat.....BOOM!

Multitrackers should be taken any time you have access to wargear, UNLESS its a single twin-linked weapon setup such as the BSF deathrain. There's not really any reason not to take it on a commander or anyone else with access.

As a support system though, you MIGHT be better off in some cases with the Targetting Array. This lets you get better hits with the weapon that matters for the circumstance (Fireknives for example). Its a matter of taste, though. On a Shas'El though, getting this WITH a multitracker is extremely effective: You get to fire TWO weapons a round at BS5. As long as you don't want any combat, that will be 15 points cheaper than a Shas'O with multitracker. The 'O still has room for a support system like a shield generator, though, or Vectored-thrust.

The BSF is somewhat rarely needed, but dirt-cheap on suits. I use it instead of the flamer as that 'third hardpoint' since its a point cheaper and occasionally comes in handy (if your missiles and railguns are firing at max range in a night scenario, the other guy's going to be suffering a bit. Unless they're CC-obsessed... then you're in danger.)

Stim-injectors are awesome... or at least they would be if we weren't vulnerable to instakill from S8. Personally that turns me off buying one; my opponents generally apply anti-armor weaponry to my suits when they finally get to fire at a commander, knowing damn well a single lascannon wound will kill that shas'o on the spot.

My primary commander is usually Shas'El with Multi,Target-array,CIB and plasma. I'm thinking of perhaps using the Shas'O and adding the VRT instead (everything else the same)... but I'm not sure.

Oh yeah. I'm a casual player so I always mount three weapons--plasma rifle, burst cannon, missile pod--then I stick a multitracker on the fourth slot (just so i remember i've got one hardwired).

Recently I've been thinking though that instead of three weapons I could put one single weapon(missile pod, say) and also load a twin-linked PR on there, so i get the best of both ends, three weapons AND points efficiency.

You have the ability to have a 4+ save even against that stupid powerfist. If you survive then you can jump out of combat and then jump back in. It would be expensive (135 pts), but damn it would make the enemy NOT ignore him.
