Default Kroot Bird?

Was poking around on Ebay and saw this little guy for 30 bucks. Part of me wishes I had it for the novelty factor, but since money doesn't grow on trees... *shrugs*

Says it's a limited edition Forgeworld. What do you guys think?

personally i love it, however it is WAY OVERPRICED for 1 model...im sure that you could make just as good quality with a kroot head, and some green stuff.

Not so sure about that...

but yeah I suppose it could be possible. Plenty of kroot heads, but my skill in green stuff is....well....lacking...

And why did they stop selling these? We have all these crazy gun drones in forgeworld for the Tau, not to mention the many shoulderpads... why not make Kroothawks viable units? I mean the 'nids have ripper swarms...

I guess it's because they're wicked rare and sacred to the Kroot. Forge World made them for the novelty of it but I suppose it can double as an objective, especially in a merc army.

It's a funny looking little thing isn't it?

I can imagine some imperial guard getting lulled into a false sense of security:

Random guardsmen Bob: Aww...look at the cute little guy... here... I got some crackers...
Kroothawk: Wok?
Random Guardsmen bob: here ya go little guy...
Kroothawk: Wokwowk.... *Devours the right arm of the guardsman*
Random Guardsmen Bob: AHHHH!!!!!

Unfortunately for him, random Guardsman Bob's screams just bring more Kroothawks out of the foilage, where they proceed to devour him.

And yes I can see them being an objective marker= touch the Kroothawk and you call down the vengence of his/her ancestors!

Could also convert one into the Kroothawk totem... big wargear item though.
