Default Clarification of Smart Missile System in the new codex

Hello to all fellow members of this community!!
The other day I played a game with my Tau army ( a resounding victory against the chaos powers, by the way) and used three SMS (two in broadsides and one in a Hammer head).
The previous tau codex stated clearly that the SMS hit with 2+ and not need to have line of sight with the unit objective of our shots.
Today, reviewing the new codex, nothing is said of the 2+ needed in the to hit roll.
I have assumed that it's the same. When you roll the dices to hit, you hit with a 2+.
But now, I have the doubt.
What do you think? Has the rules changed?

I think you might be getting smart missiles confused with seeker missiles

Smart missiles do not require LoS, but roll to hit based on BS

SEEKER missiles do not need LoS, hit on a 2+, but you have to markerlight the target first

Well, you weren't ''cheating'', but now if you continue to use it that way you'll. Ignorance or missunderstanding isn't cheating for me.

Well, if you had markerlights giulding the missiles, then yes, they hit ona 2+. But otherwise, they hit on a 3+

Eeeeehhh....
Nope.
IIRC, seekers can only be fired by a markerlight order. The vehicle carrying them have no control over the seekers, nor can launch them.
Only a markerlight can.

But if you do like the idea of having your smart missles fire at base BS5, there's a Forge World model that you can give your commander so he has a smart missle system.
