Default New Tau Army Progression (step by step)

Ok I really want to get an operational tau army, only one problem... when it comes to painting as many others im slow.

So to get motivated ive decided to start a record in my newfound tau community

been a marine player for many years but it has, well, gotten boring

so to put some flava in my 40k gaming ive started tau

Here is my first painting pics of ... parts lol or my tau commander

i want to make him a marine killa but not sure on weapon config yet (any ideas ?!)

ANYWAYS here are the pics :P
P.S (I know the lighting is terrible and ill work on that ;D)

Im looking for nice tabletop quality in my minis, Thanks ;D

keep painting parts, and buy rare earth magnets.......
I'm not touching my Tau Suits with a 20 foot pole till my 200 rare earth magnets come to do weapon arms....

Nice painting job on parts though.... COMMANDER GUNDAM *LOL*

Why don't you make a blog site and use this to post when you update it?

Looks cool for what we can see. The base is good.

Is seems that there are ever-increading amounts of Tau that use this shade of blue with white or red. Since you havent gotten too far underway, maybe you could change it and be unique.

eh I like the blue, and besides every color has been used so why not paint colors I personally like and enjoy painting

Ive also been thinking of ways to mix the squad coloring up a bit, ill see what i can do to make it somewhat unique

but @ Rev, I do appreciate the C&C

Nice job with the painting- although I don't particulary care for the green (it clashes with the rest of the model). The highlights on the main body look good, and the red offsets the blue and white. The pose that the suit is in now looks kinda awkward and static, but I don't know if you inted to keep it this way.

One thing-I think that if this thread is just going to be for pictures of you minis, you should have a mod move it over to the showcase board, where it belongs.
