Default Are 12 Stealth Suits beardy?

Just a couple questions.

1) I was wondering if taking 2 Stealth Suit Squad of 6 is considered beardy?

2) Also which models do you prefer, the old or new ones?

3) When are they releasing the XV25 in box sets?

Yeah I like the new ones too but I can't wait for summer so I bought 2x Battleforces today and bought a sprue off Ebay. I decided 12 was beardy and expensive so I am going with 2 squads of 4 with targeting arrays instead of running 5 in the squad. One thing I learned from this forum is not to use odd number squads, that has been beaten into me over and over

"beardy" and "tau" do not mix.

12 stealths is hardly beardy. dodgy unit selection in my opinion, but then again, i've never been a huge fan of them. I'd generally just take 5 at most, if i'd ever even take them.

I hope its not beardy, this is what I ususally use. I have found to great delight, that stealths are one of the best units in the army, and have had nothing but success with them. I'm even thinking of dropping my crisis and haveing a third unit as it fits my theme well. Have a look at this, it is a very good tactica for them (probably saying that as I wrote it...... 8)): http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=18920.0

It is in need of an update as of the new dex, I must get round to that.

Hmm I wouldn't think you'd need 12! perhaps taking 2 squads of 4 instead...And yes,the new ones are better since they are plastic and they look more "battle suit" like to me :-]

I think that the new suits are much better than the original and having 12 of them isn't that big of a deal, but any players that already say the Tau are baerdy will think anything that they do is beardy.

Not at all, as they can be taken out by a indirect firing barrage weapon very easily.
Plus a range of 18" is nothing which is unlikely to roll for the visibilty.

If your enemy calls you beardy, then he/she is weak, so don't pay any mind.

12 is not, but 18 is rather annoying. But they aren't beardy, as they usually will be at a tightrope as they fire their burst cannon and thus negates their stealth generator.
