Default Accuracy in Crisis Suits

I have come to love the Targetting Array, putting it on all of my Death Rains and my occasional Burning Eye. However, I still think back to another idea of accurate firepower.

A 3-man squad with all Fireknife. This would generate 12 painful shots and, guided by two Markerlights, would make them all dead-on accurate.

On the other hand, Markerlights do not always hit, and this can really mess up the accuracy of those suits.

Which do you believe is the better approach to accurate Crisis Suits. Markerlights or the built-in accuracy of twin-linking and using a TA?

A fantastic sig by Kais.

I voted TL/TA, purely because for marklights you have to buy an entire squad devoted to marklighting, and there are plenty of things in game that could make those marklights unable to help your crisis suits.

I voted targetting array because i found that pathfinders/markerlights were rarely in the right place at the right time due to their static nature.

Also why on earth would anyone want to twin link anything other than a death rain suit anymore?

Personally, if you mean Crisis suits specifically, than the Targetting Array is better, since they're so mobile and small in numbers.

More fairly though, I would say Markerlights since they're good for more than suits and tanks.
Plus giving Steath Suits Targetting Arrays are expensive.

And don't forget the Sky Ray for portable Markerlights as well ^_^.

I say the combination of the two is supreme. Twin-linked BS 5?! That's god-like.........;D

Tried that and people just say, "WTF!?"

TA and TL is more useful since they reliable (unlike markerlights)s. However, they do use up a slot which would have otherwise been devoted to multitraker/drone controller.

I would have to agree with impulse. I dont twin-link as I prefer more shots (generaly) and the TA takes up a valuable slot on a suits hard point. If Shas'ui suits in the fire-knife config, then you will need the 3rd slot to give them the MT, otherwise there is no point. If you want to hit better you will need marker-lights. If your marker-lights do not have a fire arch to the position and it realy is that important, then you havn't positioned your marker-lights more effectively in your control zones and overall strategy. I have never "needed" a marker when it has not been available. Though that is just the way I play. Control zones and fire discipline is essential to get around the average accuracy of the Tau.

Markerlights can benefit whole squads, XV8 are 1-3, why Mlight for them when you could for say, 6 Stealths? Or 12 Fire Warriors? I use TA'd Monat's, and MLight for 12 Tau FW teams. Much better.

I prefer the TA, or the TL, or even both. You can't always count on ML's, sometimes they miss, othertimes they have to target other units. With the TA/TL you have something consistant.
