Who's created their own sept?

There are many players of the Dal'Lyth sept but who has actually made their own? I have made Kar'Vor, an ice planet with floating cities and highly built up. Describe yours here.

Re: Who's created their own sept?

I created Ne'fa'rod (no idea what it means, just made a name) and it's a harsh desert world.
The cities are not as beautiful as normal Tau buildings, they are made to withstand terrible sandstorms.
(This planet fit's the fluff I made for my cadre)

Re: Who's created their own sept?

My Tau army might be one of the most... unusual out there. First off, to preface this, I am a Cheap Bast**d (TM), I watched too many damn episodes of Battlestar Galactica & Stargate SG-1, and I wanted an army that was close to a modern US military fighting force.

I saw that another player at our gaming store used metal cadians and tau weapons and used them as fire warriors. I liked that idea so much that when plastic Cadians (with carapace armor) came out I constructed my army. One box of Cadians gives you 20 guys, and one box of Fire Warriors gives you 12 guys... the only thing is... THEY COST THE SAME DAMN PRICE! >:(

The gaming store I go to had plenty of spare pulse rifles so I could actually construct my pulse rifle wielding humans and not break the bank too badly. So once I had my army painted I came up with this fluff (this is still an Alpha stage of development and needs a little more work):

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My "Sept" is the Free Colonials, they were a group of humans sent out in one of the colonizing waves during the Dark Age of the Imperium. They made it to their destination and set up their colony. During the next 9,000 years they prospered, fell, and then built themselves back up.

It was during this second rise that they spread their influence to 30 other planets in their area (Galactic North East... about 30,000 LY away from Earth) and then came into contact with the Imperium. Things were going well until the notion of religion came up. As Colonists were Christian, they didn't want to worship the Emperor as a god, as they believe that he is just a powerful man. The Imperial Ambassador just nodded his head and went back into his ship... to then do an Exterminatus on the Home World of the Colonials. The Imperial Ambassador thought that this would cause the capitulation of these Heretics, but it only steeled their resolve. The Colonials killed the ship that killed the homeworld, and then set out on a campaign to get the technology to protect themselves as they saw that they were almost helpless against Space Marines. During their exploration they found out about the Tau and were able to strike a deal with part of Farsight's breakaway faction. They gave raw materials and a cruiser size Imperial ship to Farsight, and he gave them the blue prints to Tau weapon systems, battlesuits, and Grav Tanks.

The Colonials have built several deep space habitats so that if the Imperium ever decide to squash them, the Colonials will not die off, but will be able to get revenge on the killers of their culture.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I said, the above is still in an Alpha stage of development and has enough plot holes to drive a starship through, but I like the way that my army is and everybody else at the Adventurers Guild in Harrisburg, PA likes my army as well.

Re: Who's created their own sept?

Hey KCK that's some interesting fluff but, like you said, it needs some polished up, keep it going!

Ah, i run the "So'mm' T'au" (Sommtaw from homeworld cataclysm, i even use the same colour scheme!) they are one of the first sep'ts of the tau, but not as powerfull, so it is shunned by the other ones, they dedicate their efforts to trade mined rare materials for weapons systems and other thigs from the Demirug, hence on the last generations their technology and relationships with Gue'la warriors have become stringer.

As yours mine needs the same polished up, but that's just the description of my sept, i allready have the solid fluff of why they are fighting catachan, tyranids, khrone and an armoured company allied with daemonhunters in a single world all by themselfs. so it will stay.

Re: Who's created their own sept?

My sept is alot like the T'au sept, with slight variations.

It is vomit brown, with lots of scab red bits. (like half the helmet is red, the shoulder pads are red ect.

They are close neighbors to the T'au sept and their world is right next to theirs. The world is red/brown sand... The weather is very harsh and there are sandstorms.\

Do not have a name for the sept yet.

That really isn't a fair trade in my opinion.
A fair trade agreement between the two in terms of supplies is plenty.
Farsight isn't nearly so inclined as the TE in terms of indoctrination.
He can simply trade/offer support in return for the same.
An Imperial Cruiser for the schemes of Tau Tech itself is not acceptable.

O'Dev'n, Farsight had what my Colonials wanted. I can see a representative from Farsight driving a VERY hard bargain. Maybe I'll scale back the trade to a Firestorm or a Sword escort. This trade is for ALL of Tau Tech (their 40K and their BFG tech... um... Mantas)

No, I'm saying even Farsight would NOT give up ALL of Tau Tech, even for an Imperial Ship.
Seriously, think about it.
The Imperium is KILLING for that sort of info and Farsight is just giving it away to these guys?
Even in the Gue'vesa squads only a leader is given a Pulse Rifle, much less the knowledge of the inner workings.

Well, i've made Ar'taas'mo'loc, which heralds from the artifact world, artas-moloch (they're basically tau sept but with parts of regal blue here and there)

I can see where you're going. Maybe you can help me on how my guys could have gotten Tau tech without "stumbling on to a hidden Tau cache" cheesy cliche? I'll have really think about this because I want fluff that you don't have to push the "I believe Button." too many times.
