I got home from work last night and was pleased to see a package from Games Workshop mail order waiting on my doorstep for me. Upon opening it up it was my new plastic Tau Piranha skimmers!

I decided to write up a quick review and build of the model and post it on my blog.

Are the on-sprue drones identical to other drones?

The on sprue drones are almost exactly the same as the others. The only difference you might notice is that the sections on the oulse carbines are a lil more square than before, but this is because GW probably used their new computer system to design the model. Well designed the sprues, since they likely just 3d scanned the FW one

I know the 3 pack is for sale in the UK. Anybody know if its going to be on the GW US site/stores ever or just one of those UK things?

I already have the 3 pack.. Nice models, not too many mould lines. They take a good while to put togeather though, must be around 40 pieces!

I reserved a box from my local B&M in California. I think the US GW online store already sold out of them.

Got my 3 Piranha's for the price of two (New Release Deal thingie $70CDN) at GW earlier this week - Monday.
They had 5 boxes of 3 coming in and two people bought two boxes each.. hogs...
Luckily got friend who's staff to hold one for me and I picked it up nice and casually. Woot!

and they're frigg'in sweet! Kinda heavy for such a small model though, about the same as a devilfish w/o engines..
(This week they've already blew up 2 Chaos Predators and an Eldar Falcon, and I've played a total of 3 games this week!
