Default Questions from a new player.

I have a few questions that have been bugging me.........

-Can you have a Shas'O and a Shas'el in your army if they are both their own separate unit? (HQ and elite)
-Where do you get shield drones?
-Whats so great about markerlights?
-Can broadsides use submunition rounds?
-Where do you buy tickets for games day 2006 in Toronto?

Thanks for the answers in advance ;D

Yes, but you'll be using two HQ choices...

A few different blister packs.

Read your codex, and various threads.

Read your codex, unless the idiots that be left that bit of info out of Tau Empires.

GW online stores, most likely.

You cannot have a commander as an elite unit you can have two HQs meaning you can take 1 Shas'O in one slot and 1 Shas'el in the other HQ slot but you cannot use the elites. I think thats what you were asking though the question was iffy.

Shield drones come with I believe the pathfinder shas'ui, the old xv15 Stealth shas'vre and the old etherials. However Im sure you can bitz order some off of GW's site.

Markerlights allow you to do a lot of things, to know what look in the codex. They include lowering enemy leadership and increasing a units BS. The value of such things are incalculable.

No Broadsides cannot use the submunition rounds. Page 30 under Hammerhead Railgun it says "The submunitions option is only available to the vehicle mounted railgun." simple.

And all Games Day tickets are bought off of GW's site. Just browse under events its not hard to find.

EDITE: Yes you can use 2 HQs in a 1000 point game this is all covered in the FOC which you should know about after reading the 4th edition rules. As a tip read the 4th edition rules and your codex before asking these questions OR do a forum search. Much of this has already been covered more times than I can recall.

1) Yes
2) I usually stick a spare shield generator onto the bottom of a drone rather than Pulse carbines, a voila...shield drone!
3) Markerlights offer many different ways to improve your kill chances, from raising your BS to reducing enemy cover. They arn't great....but they are good when used correctly.
4) No they cannot, only the Railgun mounted on a Hammerhead can use the submunition round.
5) No idea.

Whats with all this "read the codex" crap? Are you an anal retentive GW D'yi licker? No? Then stop it and answer the questions.

Rechar the point is that these questions are in essence stupid and anyone who actually read through their rules would know the answer or know where to find it. The sheer number of times these same exact questions has been asked is extreme and many people are sick of having to answer the same questions again and again when a simple skim of the rulebook or search would bring up the needed answers. In addition it adds more topics to an already busy board that are unproductive. That is why people give such answers and critisizing them is no help either. It can be said that encouraging people to do the easy thing, which is to ask instead of look is a bad idea and promoting more of these noob questions.

You can have both in your army, but they each take up an HQ slot.

They can be found in the pathfinders shas'ui blister, or the stealth XV-15 team leader blister.

There are several topics on this, there great for helping out other units, not in and of themselves.

Sorry, only the tank mounted railgun can do that.

GW Online Store, though you could try a GW store too, (they might be able to do it for you).

There's no need to be rude and call people stupid. Just because you manged to figure out your codex doesn't mean everyone else will. Theses forums are also used to help out people, and theres absolutely no one forcing you to post, so if you don't like it, don't post.
