Default Sleek XV suits

Does anyone agree that the xv suits on forge world look ultimately better than the ones in use now?

Nope I think the ones out now look better than the forge world ones but then that's just my opinion. ;D

I agree with Grey. What purpose does carrying heavy, potentially high-recoil weapons on your spindly Tau arms? Plus they're too 'smooth'.

Not sure what I meant by that.

I like FW suits, I'm assuming you're mainly talking about the Broadsides (that's what everyone always wants to talk about anyway). I like them mainly because of the curved helmet and the arm-mounted railguns. Railguns aren't high-recoil by their nature...there's no explosion, that'd just make it inaccurate and defeat the concept. You just point it at something and it tends to die, like a laser pointer but with godlike power. Given the option to mount something like that on a shoulder that I can't easily maneuver to target with pinpoint precision versus on my arm where I can better utilize my hand-eye coordination to smack fast-moving and hidden targets with ease, I'll choose the arms.

I doubt the Tau would be one for the exceptionally fast reflexes needed to pop a Ork Kult trukk or Marine Land Speeder. They've got technology for that. And it's not like the Broadsides are often in CC situations were high maneuverability with their weapons is paramount. They sit in the back and lob from a distance. This is why I think it's silly to put them on their arms. And yeah, that markeylight thing looks like it'd be better for Commander Cobra. You know, like on G.I. Joe.

I prefer the look of the FW suits, with the exception of the broadside with the PR's. Other then that, I like the beefy look of all the other suits, as compared to that of GW's design.

I love the look of the forgeworld suits, but I've heard to many horror stories (both online and from people I know offline) about either the quality of the peices or that they recieved the wrong pieces/models. kind of scares me off of buying any. that and the prices are insane. the broadside ones alone came out to something like fifty or sixty dollars (don't have the converter open right now).

I LOVE the FW Broardside witht he Rail Guns being arm mounted and will be converting him to my 'El ( comander ). I know its a bit pricy but we worth it as the GW ones are the suck.
