Flechette Dischargers are better than Railguns....
 
Against hordes anyway, with 3 devilfish with FD, I killed around 600-800 points of genestealers, guants and assorted bugs (even got 3 wounds on a fex!) My railguns have a suck chance of hitting lol.. Anyone else discover this with the new rules?

I'm amazed that your opponent threw 800 points of bugs onto spiky skimmers...

now i know a lot of nids armies require CC for tank removal making them useful. but my problem is there like greandes execept the the reverse. where as grenades are only useful if you can assult a vehcail, the FD need to get attack in CC to be used. now if i knew i was playing nids gensteeler army then sounds good but what if i'am not?

Man, the new flechettes are like a souped-up version of spikes and blades arent they? I dont think I'll ever really bother with them since I'm so darn cheap when it comes to outfitting my devilfishes, but jeez, they are viciously good now!

The ork part of me is sad now... At least they have no case to nerf spikes and blades now! ;D

three devilfish with Flschette comes out to 270 points or about 1 and a half railheads. anyways that was a point efficeint way to deal with bugs. if only i could find a way to get the some odd 6 tyranid players in my are to play a nice and fun normal horde army (1-2 things of stealers and loads of guants) maybe i could have that kind of luck too. congrats though

Effective in the right places? Definantly!

Useful? Sure...

Essential in an army list? Not by a long shot.

Know when to include them... and when to pass.

The only army I can think of at the top of my head that doesn't have a good tank hunting assaulter would be the Imperial Guard (a Power Fisting Commissar and Ogryns are not enough IMO). We have O'Shovah, Space Marines have Termies, Eldar have Wraithlords, Orks have a lot of stuff, Grey Knights have everything capable of assaulting tanks, ETC. All you need is to lure them to your tanks.

what happened to the grenades?

i think in case of luring them to your tank is easy TANK SHOCK them!
