Default Building a new mech Tau army.

hi guys, im in the proses of making a meck tau army

so far i have....

1 shas'o
2 body gards
24 fier wariors
2 devil fish
8 drones
i broad side
4 steath suits
1 hammer head
1 sniper drone team

what more do i nead?, so far i don't even make 1500 and i wana get shadow sun when she comes out but what do i need to add?

i plan so far to get...

5 pranas
2 more braodsides
2 more stealt suits
2 more fier warrior teams
3 more devil fish
1 full path finder team
2 full crist teams
1 full stealth team
and some more sniper drones

by the way... i know that a sniper drone team can consist of 1-3 sniper groups but dose that group have to stay 2inc of each other?

I have looked over your list and it seems you need some piranas and maybe the pathfinders it really depends on how much you use markerlights, and ummmmmmmm get either more crisis suits or stealth suits you can never have to many of them. ;D

Drop the broadsides...they will slow you down. Get more Hammerheads instead...same with snipers...

Actually Shadowsun cost's 175 points if memory serves and can only be used in army of 1500 points and over,
But my suggestions for your army would be make sure any and all troops you get (Fire Warriors, Path Finders) are mounted in a Fish, drop the broadsides for Hammerheads and yeah go from there!

ok, i do use the marker lights in every battle, but i only use the seeker missles as back up, not primary wepons...
should i get a sky ray?

The Skyray is very interesting. Consider it by it's composite parts:

2 Marker Drones
6 Seeker Missiles
--------------------
120 points

Therefore, for five points you get:

Better accuracy
The ability to move and shoot
Two burst cannons or an SMS
Armor
Fearlessness

While the only thing you give up is a heavy support slot (not an inexpensive slot, mind you).

if I take one in my army, I would probably do so only if I took an Ionhead and Railhead or team of broadsides—you're losing a lot of volume fire by taking those markerlights. However, two marker tokens per turn is very valuable even when the seekers run out.
