Default Twinlink + Multitracker dispute - help

Example Model:
XV8 with TL FusionBlaster and a PlasmaRifle with Hardwire Multitracker.

Question:
Can you fire the TL FusionBlaster and the PlasmaRifle in the same turn?
Multitracker allows you to fire two weapon "systems." Shooting a twinlinked weapon is considered to fire two identical weapons, but is it considered two individual weapon systems? ???

You can do that. A twin-linked weapon is still a single "system".

Of course you would have to HW the MT.

Hey Thanks.
Now how would one explain this to a games workshop employee? My friend works there and the s.o.b didn't let me do it when I was playing. ;D

Yep. Page 17 of the 3rd Ed codex or Page 25 of the 4th Ed codex. Twin linked weapons count as a single system. And so when using a multitracker, you can fire a twin linked weapon and another.

Or punch him, a GW employee tried to tell me because i fired Plasma Rifles (rapid Fire) i wasn't allowed to move in the assault turn. He soon found out how painful the Greater good could be. >

Although it takes two hardpoints, the TL weapons ALWAYS count as a single weapon.

E.g. a twin lascannon on a LR still only counts as one gun in terms of working out how many guns you can fire a turn.

also another thing: NEVER accept someone tule interpretatiotn just cause they work at GW. I personally know the rules a lot better than almost all the staff at my local GW. If he wont compromise, get the rules book and show it to him. If he still doesnt accept the ruling, pack up your models and play against someone else.

lol I dont think that'll be neccessary. I was already pretty sure firing both weapons was allowed, I just didnt know what reference in the rulebook/codex to use along with the legal mumbo jumbo to back it up.
No problem now, thanks all. ^-^
