Default What did we want from Tau Empires?

So, I was hoping for a few things from Tau Empires that I don't think I'll see. Specifically...

Top of the bloody list is double weapons, two non-twinlinked weapons!

Kroot Genetic Upgrades ala Kroot Mercenaries - I wanted the option to have winged Kroot and +1 I Kroot.

Markerlight Secondary Weapons on Vehicles - Perfect for Devilfish, I think.

Close Combat Weapons for Crisis Suits - Unfluffy? I dunno. Fire Caste didn't always have pulse weapons.

Tetras - A Forgeworld mobile markerlight. I never used it before, but it might be worth it with the new markerlight rules.

Twin Linked Railguns on a Hammerhead - What, they can fit two on a Broadside!

Transport option on Skyray - The back is probably full of seekers, but nobody brought a crowbar to get the damn crates open I guess...

Armor and Ranged Weapons Options for Ethereals - I rule this empire, so gimme that stealthsuit!

Raiderhead - Our Raider is a AV 14 skimmer with Heavy Railguns! Take this twinlinked Str 7 AP3 submunition round!

Orbital Bombardment - Sir! The railguns are in orbit! The Krak missiles are out of range!

Skilled Jetpack Users - OW! Sorry, sir. I didn't see that tree!

================================================

I forgot Rail Rifle Pathfinder teams. 8 Rail Rifles might be better classed as a Heavy Support, though.

And Infiltrating Pathfinders without a Devilfish!

What else were people wanting and hoping to see?

Some nice ideas, there. I like the Doctrines idea somebody mentioned. With the Tau Empire scattered amongst planets without Astropathic Communication and each facing different threats, I think a Caste Doctrine system would've been a nice addition that adds to the Tau. O'Shovah is the closest thing we have to that. Thank, Ubik.

It seems most people are happy with what the new Codex offers. Mostly people wanted fixes for drones, kroot, and markerlights. The Pirahna and Skyray have got some people excited. The Vespid seemed to be a big issue a few months ago, but now few people are discussing them.

better marksmanship. itīs kindda odd our elite forces canīt beat a IG grunt at a shooting contest without an upgrade.

iīm not complaining about FWs and Kroots but battlesuits and stealths with such a low basic BS sucks.

thatīs all iīd ask.

The theory I have is that Fire Warriors don't have binocular vision with their helmets on. The lack of depth perception due to Earth caste oversight means BS3 for the army!

you only use one eye to point and shoot a rifle. since they also have such a low WS an I i think their real problem is pure lack of dexterty. lets face it if you only had four fat fingers you wouldnīt be very dextrous either.

Of course all players want to see major improvement and other things, but most of these wants/desires are un fair, and thats why they're never going to happen. Sure, discussing things like that is good fun, and forums are a big part of this, but theres not much reason to post this is the actual tau section. Maybe rumors or house rules would be better for that.

fusion blasters on stealths, check! posible hard piont option, check Plastic stealths , markerlight system which allowed squads to be benfited!, more experimental gear. krootox and kroot hounds too be removed form the fast attack and heav and made in the squad uprgrades they should, allway been, sheild drones fixed.

attual there was stuff which i didnt get like a trait system, human auxilleries, rail rilfe squads of fire warriors, close combat drones, pathfinders with advance jet packs, which was a few of them

I've got another great idea! Let's give Shas'O's power weapons and Fire Warriors BS5 and AP3 and give Kroot a 2+ Invulnerable Save! That will be cool!

My point is that that (like most of that list) is TOO POWERFUL. Anything with mutiple weapons of that strength AND skimmer abilities would be worth 1500 points all by itself. If Tau become easy they also become boring.

All I was hoping for was more AP3 weapons. My wish was granted (along with lots of other goodies!). I'm happy now.

Ditto. Well, a Kroot fix too. Both of which we got. Everything else is just icing, and it's very tasty (I like the new sniper drones, just finished putting together a team)
