Default XV25 Stealths

Managed to get a look (and feel) of them....and i must say they are nothing like the pictures. The bulbous head is really not bad, much smaller and less pronounced than the pictures show....they are Sexah!

"Just as the chaotic nature of these aliens is anathema to we of the Empire, so it is that the Tau'va is abhorent to them. They have no capacity to accept such glory and should be kulled so the Empires efforts may be spent in a more productive manner." attributed - Shas'O Rech'Ar

Well thats good to hear, still I wish they were more like the concept art on the new codex, with the indent on both sides of the head. Much sleeker IMO.

i still think they look like lumbering killing machines.

but still: if my scout BA marines can infiltrate with their shiny red armours why shouldn´t the XV25???

i´m starting to think everyone in the 40k universe is colour blind.
Pointing markerlights directly to the eyes may cause severe retina burns and lead to permanent blindness.

Marines against chaos marines:
Marine one: Good god you shot our own squad!
Marine two: Wait your tellin' me that isn't chaos?
Marine one: Were two different colours you idiot!
Marine two: Sorry, I'm colour blind...

I've always lovd stealths no matter what their shape or form.

The new stealths dont look like they were made to sneak around. They just look like fighting machines. I know a few players that will be keeping to the old versions.

im planning on using the old ones and the new ones side-by side.

The XV15's are more common but have worse targetting equipment (BS3)
The XV25's are rarer but have enhanced targetting (BS4)

best of both worlds

Personally, I love the new 25's. The old 15's never really looked like "battlesiuts" to me. I couldn't figure out where the actual suit mechnics were sposed to go. And can SOMEBODY tell where dude's ARM sposed to be in that old burst cannon arrangement? it always looked to me like they had it chopped at the elbow and grafted the thing. BUT, Tau DO have cyber, so maybe they did. All's I can say is the new 25's look like actual Battlesiuts to me and not just fire warriors with jetpacks and BC's grafted to their arms. The new design makes a lot more sense to me and cant wait to pick up some 25's with FB's. Hee hee hee, my worries about getting pounded by my usual opponent's Earthshaker just got smaller. (evil grin of anticipation)

In the white dwarf, they stated the the x-25 showed the tau's "superior grasp on technology" which I disagree with because with technology, don't things get smaller?
That's not what your mother said last night Trebeck, HAHAHA!

Who cares if things get smaller.

All I know is that the Old Stealths absolutely rock, and the new ones pretty much suck. And they cost you your first-born son and your left nut.
