Default New Tau Battle Suits

Rules for Tau Battle Suits.
<br /

>All start with some info.
Some of these are rules I came up with after I made the

conversions.
Some are one of a kind ans some are used in pairs.

Some of

these suits are so large they can only be taken as compulsery units and on games over 2,

000pts.
Serious.

For the Titan size suits The rules are taken from the

old epic rules into 40k so may have some hard to believe equations of Massive Firepower

for 40k.

Most of these larger suits are for fighting Titans and Bane Blades.


All start small and get larger.


TAU XVMB 108 BETA
(Medium

Battle Suit)

ARMOR

AND EQUIPMENT:
-The Beta is basically the Marine’s Dreadnought in theory and

its role on the battlefield.
-The Beta is taller than a Crisis Suit and counts as a

Special Character taken
under a heavy weapons choice. Can only be used when

special characters are allowed.
-The Beta has a Shield Generator a Multi Tracker and

a Target lock built in
and a special Drone Controller, which

controls 4 Gun Drones or Shield Drones-At
standard statistics. (Add

40 pts for Shield Drones.)
-Drones form their own unit and are programmed to protect

the Beta at all costs.

WEAPONS:
-Do to the larger, Heavier Battle Suit

frame the Beta can move and fire heavy weapons. It can also carry much stronger weapons

and more ammunition.
1. Burst Cannon

18”Range Str 5 AP5

Shoots 6 Linked
2. Smart Missiles

24”Range Str 5 AP5

Shoots 4 linked
3. Twin Linked Rail Gun 72&#8221

MOVEMENT:
-The Beta can move up to 6“ and fire all weapons

in movement phase.

ASSAULTING:
-The Beta enters and exits assaults per

normal rules just like a Dreadnought
-The Beta never falls back and takes no Morale

tests
-The Beta is too big and bulky to pursue after an assault and must hold his

ground.
-If the Beta assaults he will use his W.S. and attacks as normal.

DAMAGE
-All Drones must be destroyed before wounds will be taken from the Battle

Suit.
-Once wounds reach 0 role on the vehicle penetrating chart to see what happens

to it.

(Stealth Crisis Suit)

-Built in shield generator with 3+ invulnerable save. Target lock

built in plus Drone Controller, which can control 2 Drones.

-May field 1-3

per army. Counts as an Elite choice.



WEAPONS:
1. Burst Cannon 24”Range STR

5 AP 5 Assault 6 linked



DAMAGE:
-Once the Drones are destroyed then damage is taken from the

Battle
Suits Wounds.

MOVEMENT:
-Can move and fire all

weapons up to 6” movement and can move another 6”
in assault phase, no

shooting.,
-Enters into assault per normal rules.

SPECIAL RULE-Stealth

Armour: Enemy models attempting to fire at Stealth Crisis Suits must role their spotting

distance by rolling 2D6x3 as if firing at night. See Tau Codex.

CHARACTER:

One Shas’ui can be a team leader for 5pts or a Shas’vre for 10pts.

Both can then use Marker lights for 10pts. Shas’vre has plus 1 initiative and

leadership 10.

NOTE- No other Tau equipment may be used.

NOTE-

Stealth teams may Infiltrate. See Tau Codex.

NOTE-A team may be Bonded, for

10pts.

TAU XV-99 STINGRAY
(TAU ASSASSIN)

HISTORY:
-The Stingray is the secret assassin of the

Tau that no one talks about. He’s a killing machine. Get in get bloody or shoot you

from blocks away. Either way you’ll never know who did it. The Stingray was chosen

from the best commander of Tau Shas’o and sent to train. His training is never

talked about and his name is never to be spoken by Tau. The Stingray just does not exist.

What kind of race talks about peace and greater good but when you don’t agree they

send an assassin to kill you?

ARMOR AND EQUIPMENT:
-The Stingray uses a

super-modified Crisis suit with no expense spared on only the best parts. It’s

completely experimental. It is believed to cost as much to build as a whole army of

crisis suits. -Theirs just no way of knowing exactly how much power This Battle

Suit really has.
-The Suit counts as a Special Character taken under a H.Q. choice.


-The Suit has Stealth capabilities a Shield Generator a Multi Tracker a Target lock

built in and a s Drone Controller, which controls 2 Gun Drones with Stealth.

>WEAPONS:
-Do to the larger and stronger frame the Battle Suit carries stronger

weapons and more ammo.
1. Plasma Rifle 24”Range Str 6

AP2 Shoots 2 Linked
2. Smart Missiles 24”Range

Str 5 AP5 Shoots 4 linked
3. Sniper Shot 48&#8221

;Range Str 9 AP1 Shoots 1 Linked

A Sniper Shot is a super charged shot of 2 plasma rifles combined

with the energy of the suit. The Stingrays Plasma rifles are very

experimental. And very powerful. They are the only Tau weapons known that can combine

their power together. No other weapons can be fired if Sniper shot is used. Also the

Stingray cannot move in the assault turn if Sniper Shot was used.
4. Twin Assassin

Swords Alien artifacts purchased by the Tau. In an assault the Stingray counts as a

monstrous creature, ignoring armor saves and doubling his strength. Rolls 2D6+5 against

vehicles.

MOVEMENT:
-The Stingray can move up to 6“ and fire all

weapons in the movement phase. And move another 6” in the assault phase.

ASSAULTING:
-The Stingray assaults per normal rules as a character
-The

Stingray never takes Morale tests

DAMAGE
-Both Drones must be destroyed

before wounds will be taken from the Battle Suit.
-The Stingray has an invulnerable

save of 3+. And a Stealth Suit. 2D6x3 to see it.

(Heavy Burst

-Battle Suit stands, approximately four

times as tall as a normal Crisis Suit.
-Independent Character and Monstrous

Creature. Counts as 1 Heavy Support Choice.
-Drones form their own unit and are

programmed to protect the Piranha at all costs.

WEAPONS:
-Do to the very

large size and heavy frame on the Piranha Battle Suit, it can carry very


strong weapons and more ammunition.

1. Super Heavy Burst Cannons 72&#

assault with troops and can either shoot or assault
if in base contact with the

enemy, that&#39;s right the Piranha can shoot during an assault.
-The Piranha can

leave an assault at anytime. On players turn. No tests taken.

NOTE-Burst

Cannon and Missiles cannot be replaced by any other Crisis Suit weapon.

NOTE

-Any equipment (Vehicle or Troop) in the Tau Armoury may be used at normal points cost

and statistics.

NOTE-Battle Suit can take cover behind anything as tall as its

chest. But must be stated.

all Drones a destroyed then wounds are taken from the suit. Normal save applies.

Battle Suit.

-3 Gun or Shield Drones-standard statistics. (Shield Drones

add 30pts)

choice.
-Drones form their own unit and are programmed to protect the Bat at all

costs.

WEAPONS:

MOVEMENT:

The “Bat” Battle Suit counts as a skimmer and can move and fire all weapons

12” and can move another 12”in the assault phase, no shooting unless

assaulting.
-Not affected by difficult terrain at all. Do to its flying

capabilities.

FLYER:
-The “Bat” may enter into flight mode.

When this is done the “Bat” will fallow all rules as
a

flyer. That “Bat” moves as a skimmer unless in flight mode.

NOTE-

Enters into assault per normal rules.

NOTE-The “Bat” is not tied

up in an assault with troops and can either shoot or assault if in base <br /

> contact with the enemy, that&#39;s right the “Bat” can shoot during

an assault.
-The “Bat” can leave an assault at anytime. On players

special Drones built into it’s suit that can fire all of it’s weapons in an

assault. That’s correct the Battle Suit shoots if assaulted. Why the pilot controls

the Battle Suit the built in Drones will automatically shoot the enemy troops for him if

assaulted at there ballistic skill.(BS 2) If you assault the Battle Suit its Drones will

shoot you.
-The Suit is too big and bulky to pursue after an assault and must hold

it’s ground.
-If the Battle Suit assaults it attacks at its Strength 10+3D6.

The Drones do not fire.

NOTE- Just like the

Titan if the Great Whites feet in the movement phase touch any troops they would be

crushed under foot. They must take their saving role. If they fail they die. <br /

>
NOTE-The Great White is not tied up in an assault with troops do to its massive

size.

NOTE-Infantry assaulting a Great White must pass a morale test, do to

its massive size.
-If Morale test is failed they may not move into an assault that

turn.

Just like when you VDR.



So if you want to use them you have to pay for the fact they are not Oficial

rules.

But you cant say there that cheesy when your paing out the nose for

them.

I have rules or am working on rules for everything I create.

I havent used any of these

in official games.
And mostly I just use my conversions but with the rules out of

the codex and leave it at that.

Glad you enjoyed them, guess it was worth all

that time it took to post them.
