Default Marker-Light Drones?

I posted a question regarding this earlier, on the rumors board - but I did not get an answerm only a discussion on fluff.

I saw no answers mentioned anywhere, so I decided to ask here.

Is there anyway a marker drone can move and fire its marker light?

Otherwise it seems silly to tag one onto crisis suit and stealth suit teams.

The marker drone only has a targetting array (built in) to give it BS3, unfortunately its still a move-or-shoot weapon, which does indeed make it useless for crisis suits and stealth suits. Static firewarriors are really the only decent choice. apart from....

ETHEREALS WITH MARKERDRONES!

what an idea, hide you ethereal and get some ML at the same time!

Having 2 marker drones with the ethereal is a dangerous game. They can get shot pretty easily, and they cost 2 vanilla space marines each...

but, they could light up for your Crisis suits, and tree plasma rifles rapid firing at BS 4 is nothing to laugh at, easily earn back your points.

I'll certainly try it. Two drones may not draw enough fire from my opponents. Who knows?

Plant the Ethereal in 7 inches of woods and then have the Marker drones 5 inches in. That way they can shoot out and no one can hit the Ethereal. There you go... mostly free Markerlights, though it will still cost you 80 pts for those two markerlight hits.

Does the ethereal retain its IC status when equipped with said Marker Drones? If so, your opponent can't shoot them if there is something closer.
