Default Tutorial: Burn it to the Ground!

Well, every one 'knows' Tau dislike being close to thier enemies, however, this one heck of an under rated weapon of mass burning >

Geting close!
Shas'El - Flamer, Plasma, Missile Pod. Hard Wired Multi-Tracker, He is an IC, so they cannot Target him, so use DF as cover and then pop out front in a new form of FoF, SFoF (Super Fish of Fury) This is very efective in geting close enough to torch+plasma your enemy to oblivion , and at a range threaten light tanks and high toughness targets.

Catachans? What Catachans (replace Catachans with what ever lurks in the bushes beyond)
Well, every one knows Cover saves can be a tickle! so, flame em! JSJ into range burn them, JSJ out of enemy LOS, this with 1 squad can easily raze Imperial Guard, Eldar, Dark Eldar, and Orks (with a little more diffuclty) to charcol! Not bad for 6 pts (18 actually) eh?

De-Bunker
Well, 3+ Armour saves can be peasky, 3+ Cover Saves (=+3 Invul. Save) are a true iritation!
Solution? BURN IT! No cover saves from a 6 pt weapon, Jakey likey!

Death to the Command Squad!
Flame the Unit, and if he is smart, his other little minions will be torched, then Plasma his smelly HSO!

City Fight? I thought this was an open field!
So much cover, so much LoS blocking terrian, Flamer heaven!
JSJ, when a High Priority targert get anywhere near him Jump into LoS, Burn/Plasma them, then high tail it out of there!

Well I hope it help a bit!

Lynx - Now Creature.

IC is pointless for using a flamer, he will no doubt be the closest thing to a unit so can be shot at fine, regardless of his IC status.

apart from to prevent him being classed as part of the team he has to be 3inch away. so will only ever get 3inch infront, with the flamer that means his targets can only ever be 12" away from your firewarriors (3+9) so the very next turn, whatever you're shooting at will be able to charge and assault, most likely crashing through your Firewarriors, into your commander and wasting them both.

What ever you thing, JSJ from the side, so he is over to the side, and the tip of the DF, mere 2 Imches from the enemy unit and It works great for me.

Not to bad of an idea, but I would leave flamers to regular CS's because the flamer dosnet need BS.

Yeah, I know, but most every other Hard point, and be replaced with a Hard wired option, and his IC is very good in most tactics unless it needs a ton of fire to ice (he he he oxymoron!) the enemy.
These are sound, I use them alot. I know they are common tactics, but I have yet to see them all together.

it 2+ not 3 and if use a fish you can get even better results

thought if you use deepstriking single ciris suits with TL flamers you can do a lot of damage (i am talking about in the new codex not the current)
