but i want to knwo y their is no tau myths, or unknown facts about the tau? were they to busy in their 6000 years making railguns to think of mytholigy? or were they just too damn smart to waste time thinking of it, or just not stupid enogh to belive [that]?

Please refrain from swearing. Future events will lead to smiting. Thank you - Aunny

Wha?? The adeptus mechanicus worship the omnissiah (machine god), not the guard. And it's not a C'tan. There are probably no tau myths because they are so young and GW didn't want to think of it.

But seriously, a Guardsman, I'm willing to bet, could a) outshoot me, b) give me the beating of my life, and c) shove more squad-based tactics down my throat than I'd ever care to digest. Guard are hard, hard men. Whether or not GW's inconsistent, Marine-worshipping fluff keeps with that, mkay?

Real men fight in tanks!

They do have The Greater Good. Isn't that a kind of mythology? After all that is what they believe in.

First off, please try and use Grammar, its this wonderful invention that allows us to communicate with ease. ;D

As for tau mythology, They have the story of how the ethereal united the tau as one! That surely has a large basis in their culture!

I should imagine there's a fair few tales, stories, parables and poems attendent to the 'Tau'va'. Like the one about the Good Kroot, or when you talk of two Kor racing each other you here the story of the Demiurg and the Vespid...

Seriously, I imagine there's a ton of popular fantasy, mythology, soap opera and stuff in the Empire, it's just the social constraints are heavily in place so that folks can enjoy it, just not get carried away with it...

Dictionary.com defines mythology as:
1) A body or collection of myths belonging to a people and addressing their origin, history, deities, ancestors, and heroes.
2) A body of myths associated with an event, individual, or institution: ?A new mythology, essential to the... American funeral rite, has grown up? (Jessica Mitford).
3) The field of scholarship dealing with the systematic collection and study of myths.

People we have in mythology:
Heracles, Hermes, Perseus

People who they would (therefore) have in their mythology:
Angor Prok, Aun'shi, O'shovah

Easy to pick out those three from just skimming the codex and GW online...

but my teacher told me that myths often are unconfermered or have had the truth stretched, and happened in the past.

but rly the whole 40,000 is in the futer so now it is the present for their time.

aunsh'i is not a myth if he has been comfermed to have existed/still existes.

that is like saying hitler is a myth. he is not a myth because we have evidence that he was real. those myths u said are real myths, but in the 40,k world O'shava wouldnt be a myth, he would be a fact.
