Default Click, please. (Dealing with the Nightbringer)

Whats the best thing to use in the tau army to kill a nightbringer? I would guess high strength low Ap weapons. But whatever it is, post it, and any major strategies would help, as I may be fighting a necron player soon. Thanks.

Railguns. They kill everything.

How about railguns? Failing that, Plasma Rifles.
If you're feeling brave, hit it with Fusion blasters. Don't bother shielding up the suits, though. They're going to die if they're that close to the 'bringer.

The safest options are rail weapons. The railgun is obvious, as its solid shot is S10 AP1, but don't overlook the rifles.

rail gun, missle pods, ion cannon. anything that can hurt T9. keep him rolling that 4 plus save. eventually, he will fail some of them. and think of it this way, one wound on him equals 180 victory points! or, just stay out of his way, and kill the necrons to phase him out. but, if you HAVE to shoot him, rail guns and missle pods, definately.

Plasma, fusion, ion cannons, railguns, missil pods, anything high strength. You should be taking some ion heads anyway when facing crons and helios suits aswell wouldnt hurt so keep shooting the bugger and he will go down. Alternately just shoot the crons until they phase out.

I would say treat him like a stompfex: just move out of the way. I think he has some kind of shooting spell that you sold watch out for, but other than that he is just a expansive, slow assault unit which is not affected by target priority (above all others).

thanks khanaris. Lets see... stay far enough away, shoot with railguns, plasma rifles, missile pods, and possibly fusion blasters.
Sounds good, Ill see how it goes. Thanks all. Also, isn't the Resurrection special rule for warriors 4+?

No hes right its 4+ thats what a 50/50 means. 3+ means they save 4/6 of the time, thats more than half.
