Default New to Tau

I am new to this whole thing and i have a couple of models painted and i will have pics later but my colors are a deep red and shinny blue but how do i paint the vespids?

I Don't know in what area you live, however, in GBritain they're not out yet, and the only colour scheme of them i've seen in detail is the blue, so untill they're released, I can't be of much help to you.

Are you sure you don't mean Kroot? If you do then i'd look in the codex, as there are quite varied schemes in there so you'll probably find one to your liking.

Finished models go in the Showcase board, unfinished models go in the Painting board.

Welcome to the forums!

Vespids seem to have a few armor pieces, so you could paint those using your existing color scheme and then do something else for their skin. That will help to pick them out from your Fire Warriors while still tying their appearance in to that of the army as a whole. Kroot are a little harder, since they don't have armor, but even using a hint of the overall color scheme for their army on their shoulder pads or accessories will go a long way towards making the army look more cohesive.
