Default A Tau god?

I was reading up on the fluff for the various "gods" of 40k. Almost all of them stem from the minds of the inhabitants of the material unverse. Then they are formed in the warp. I know Tau don't register in the warp but they also aren'y psychic blanks. Thus they have at least a minimal connection to the warp. So, could it be possible that a Tau god be born? Perhaps a god of Forced Unity? Perhaps a god of Blatant Contol? I don't know, what do you forum people think?

It's fine if you don't think so but at least give a reason. Also I don't mean "will GW release rules of any sort?", just "could it happen?"

Tau don't have gods, they're like buddhists, believeing in a certain philosophy until it becomes like a religeon. They have no particular feeling or essence to embody, and thus nothing would form in the warp even if the Tau presence did register.

It would be like followers of chaos undivided. There is no god of chaos undivided, you are worshipping all the differant aspects as a whole. Same would be for the Tau, you devote yourself to the greater good, however that manifests itself.

The only things remotely close to even slightly being godlike for the Tau are the Ethereals. But they don't fit the criteria for being gods. They're mortal, for one. Of course then we have the Space Pope... don't know what he's all about.

Well the Greater Good is to unify all of the galaxy, preferably through peace but through force if nescessary. So a polite god that'll rip out your thoat.

The Tau may have a register in the warp but it is nowhere near what is needed to create a god. The orks collective psychic potency in a waaagh is tremendous and the Eldar as we know are (well supposed to be) the most potent psykers in the galaxy and creating a god nearly destroyed them. The Tau are just not even close to having the kind of warp connection needed for such a thing. Plus the Tau do not worship gods either, the etherials are pretty much their religious leaders but they do not have a god, they have an ideal. Which is a bit differant.

Building on what Vash said, it seems to me like a God would require worship, sacrifice, etc. all those things some people devote their lives doing.

In a Tau sense of mind, to me that would seem a waste when these devotees and other such worshippers could be out serving the greater good furthering the entire Tau race, rather than a belligerent figure of belief.

I'm a buddhist. It is not a religion, but a way of life. But I must say that the Tau philosophy is similiar to Taoism(ironic isn't it?).

I'd say it was planned but I doubt Gw's smart enough to do that.
