Assemble and get a game? ;D

Well, welcome to Tau Online! Take a moment to skim though the faq's

Then buy a bunch of rare earth magnets so you can switch the weapons on the suits - you don't want to glue the weapons straight on them. Especially since the rules might change a bit with a new codex on the horizon.

There's an article here about it, it's not with rare earth magnest though. But you'll get the picture:

Oh, and it you - like me - have nothing better to do. Read this piece of fluff, it's actually quite good. Enjoy the goodies of Tau Online.

While I'm at it... You just have to read the MechTau bible, the best way of warfare!

Welcome to Tau Online!

Got the Codex and Battleforce? Great - this thread is just for you then - Want to Start a Tau Army? Part 1

Have a read through that, and then have a look at the list of Important Topics (very important! it's basically a list of some of the best articles/posts we have here)

IMO magnets aren't needed, as the weapons fit in fine once painted (well, mine do), but that's up to you.

Well, yes, but the important part is not to glue them! I see way to many post here with people saying "I have a such and such suit, what should I do with them?" Rippin of painted things can get ugly... so don't glue them or I'll send Santa or someone after you

True - Most importantly, don't glue on the weapons (same goes for Tanks actually, see the Modular Tanks link/image in my sig ) - after that, you can decide how you can attach them (not glue! but magnets, or blu-tac, or nothing).

Had a read of the Want to start a Tau Army thread? If you need anything clarified or have any questions on that, feel free to contact me via PM.

Apart from that, we have plenty of good advice and solid info and tactica in various threads - most are listed in the Important Topics sticky, but there are new discussions that pop up weekly (even if they've been mentioned before..)
