Firstly, only one model may claim a markerlight's bonus of the hitting on 2+.

Secondly, who fired the markerlight in this particular situation? Was it the Shas'ui of the Fire Warrior squad or was it another Tau model (like a pathfinder). Please elaborate? :-\

Ah, ok.

For another note, the markerlight cannot be claimed by the member of the same squad; it 'tis not allowed. The only time a model can claim a markerlight is when a model from a different squad shot it. Better?

Lol, indeed!

I've seen many Tau players exploit the markerlights to their advantage, with doing things like marking up one squad with one markerlight (if he hits sucessfully) and then making his entire army hit on a 2+ when shooting at that squad or another squad "close to it"...it was quite disturbing!

Cheers!

And thats one of the clearest sections of our codex, Most definitley wasnt a mis-reading. And then again those who dont doubt what those people do and dont ask to see where the codex says they can do that deserve it, but only the tinyest bit.

"Hey, man, I'm a PANDA!" the panda shouts back. "Look it up!"

The manager opens his dictionary and reads:

Panda: A tree-dwelling marsupial of Asian origin, characterized by distinct black and white coloring. Eats, shoots and leaves.

I'd just like to point out that one WEAPON SYSTEM gets the benefit of a current merkerlight hit, not even a complete model. So, You crisis suit with one marker score only gets to use it for one of his weapons (Twinlinked weapons are one weapon.)

Network markerlights (forgeworld) let you use a weapon from your own squad right?

Aye, that is true. In the new codex ;D there is the option for networked marklighters so that means you don't only have to use the forge world rule. In January/February (not sure when it comes out but it's around that time) we can use the new networked marklighters greatly enhancing the abilities of our forces.

Cheers!!1
