Unfortunately, no. I thought we had the word for "spear" at least, but I can't find it. You may have to make something up. I like to use bastardizations of Japanese in this case. For example, shinsei can mean "nova" and mori can mean "lance" (or forest). Break them up with a bunch of apostrophes, and you can get something that looks passably like Tau.

I would say "Nova" best translates as Mont'au'Shas'ka'ka, meaning "terrible star blow". As a Nova is a massive explosion (right?) this seems to fit.

Lance is a cavalry weapon... so something like Kunas'Mont'Nan: Agile war sword.

So we've got Mont'au'shas'ka'ka'Kunas'M ont'Nan: terrible star blow agile war sword.

Let's take out every two-letter word: Mont'shas'kunas'Mont'nan

And the repetition: Mont'shas'kunas'nan.

Finally, shas: Mont'kunas'nan: war swift sword, or "Swift sword of war" or "lance".

Put star back in, and we've got Shas'ka Mont'kunas'nan "Star Lance".

I'm still not happy with my definition of "nova"... I'm going to give that another go.

Shas'ka = star.

Suam = fire/flame.

Shas'ka'suam = Star fire.

So let's call it Shas'suam = fire flame... which is the best fit for "nova" I can find whilst not taking up half a page.

So, finally, our latest version for Nova Lance is: Shas'suam Mont'kunas'nan
