Hey does anyone know if the tau barracuda is being made official in the new codex? i have heard that the piranhas are...?

as far as I know, no one knows for sure and everyone's spreading rumours...

it not being done. its a flyer so its noting going to make it to the Codex

o rite, that sucks thanks anyways. are all flyer's as a rule not made official in any armies codex???

Correct, flyer's do not appear in any codexes whatsoever (so purely ForgeWorld).

Saw a painted Baracudda at the GW in Gothenburg, but I never asked. But I guess it is just forgeworld, since I also saw a tetra in the monter, and they are not coming either.

nope IA only

some tourments allow IA's and some dont ask.

in freindly every thing is permistion only so ask your openent, show him/her the rules if they dont know what they are and then if they say yes play simple as that.

Flyers do have official statusdom in a number of lists.

For Epic.

And, for Battleflelt Gothic (technically)

(Plus it's not quite so pricey to pick up Barracudas in either system!)

In the preveiw of a new tau army in the GW UK news section, there's a tau anti-flyer variant of the hammerhead (forgoten what it's called). What would be the point of that if not many people play with flyers? Either that or it's been changed into a kind of artillary.
