Default Broadsides

im really quite puzzled at the moment.... are the railguns on the broadside battlesuits the same as the ones on the hammerhead gunships?
and can they fire both weapons at the same time ? because if they are they same, wouldnt it make sense to have a team of 3 broadsides instead of 1 hammerhead? ???

No, they are not the same. Broadside Railguns cannot fire submunitions.

They do not have two Railguns, they have one TL Railgun.

yes... and no...
the broadside railguns are the same railguns as the hammerheads', but the broadsides can't fire the submunition.
the broadsides (and the hammerhead too, btw) can fire both weapons if they have the multitracker upgrade
and why you should the hammerhead as well? becuase it's a great tank (good AV) can be upgraded so that it can move AND shoot (something which the broadside can't) and I'm sure there are even more reasons to take them both, but that's all I can think of atm...

ps: darn, a couple of minutes slower than wargamer...

Yeah.* Hammerheads can move and fire.* And the broadsides can't use the submunition.

Plus: Hammerheads get to hit on a three. ;D

And statistically, Broadsides hit on 2.5.

Broadsides might be able to move and shoot with the "Advanced Stabilization System". I, myself, will be having two Broadside teams. One with Multi-tracker to sit still and shoot the snot out of people with both rail and SMS. The second team will be my "run and gun" team with the Stabilization System. That way they can bring the pain to more places =^.^=

advanced stabilization only works with lighter weaponry, it doesn't work for heavy weapons (such as railguns)

Where do you get this statistic?

hammerhead hit on 3, obvious

broadside hits on 4 and rerolls any miss => 1/2 chance to hit + another 1/2 if the first one misses = 3/4 chance of hitting, 1/4 chance to miss
transform that to a D6, you get 1.5 needed to miss... (I think I made a mistake somewhere...)
