how usefull are the pulse carbine and should the be used more than the rifles? ???

Carbines are almost worthless. Give ONE squad two if you want to experiment, but generally the killing power of a Rifle is always better.

The way to go for carbines is defenitely drone squadrons. If markerlights are going to be able to increase the pinning chance as rumors state, a Drone/Pathfinder combo may actually work fairly nicely.. ;D

ahem. http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=13655.0. there should be plenty on this topic here. just to paraphrase, it is generally a good idea to give most of your FWs rifles and maybe take a pair of drones. if you are playing in places with extremely dense terrain then it is a very good idea to give one or two of youenemiesr FWs carbines, as the 18" range is better than the rifles 12" movement range (its RF). in city-fight, the carbine will massacre your enemies, particular if you have a DF.

I think that the pinning technique is great for my army and my opponents, because there space marines, so there not gonna break and flee, and I can keep them where I want them while i wear them out with ranged combat.
