Default Info/Question on Magnet for Crisis Suits

I got some question on magnet...

I have read around about putting magnet on the Crisis Suits to allow Weapon change between games, i really liked that idea and start looking around for some magnet.

I found this website, http://www.engconcepts.net/List_Of_Disc_Magnets.asp, they have a tons of magnets, and i think a 2mm diameter disc magnet(1mm thick) for 0.07$ a unit is very cheap (model D1003a).

For those who already used magnet on their suits:
  • Is it to much expensive?
  • Are they to big?
  • Will they hold?
  • Should i use Diskmagnet or cilynder magnet

Thanks!

Those sound small for crisis suit weapons. I don't know exactly how mm matches up with inches though.

I have 1/8" diameter by 1/8" thick magnets from K&J Magnetics: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/ Around $20 for like 50 or 60. They hold the weapons on pretty strongly, although they do tend to get spun a little bit during combat. A few people use strip magnets, I don't know how much those cost or how well they work. That would possibly prevent the spinning though.

They should be fine. 3mm = 1/16" I think.

They seem fairly cheap for their size. Rare Earth Magnets are surprisingly powerful, even those small ones should hold, as the weapons that they're supporting aren't very heavy (The one's I used for my modular tanks conversion were 2.5mm x 2mm, and they managed to hold up the hammerhead railgun and stop it from drooping). And disc magnets are perfect.

About the markerlights, they still work the same but they can be used in a defensive manner.you target a unit and roll to hit as normal, but you can target your own unit.if it hits your unit you can do hree things
1.give them plus 1 to their bs
2.give them plus one to ws
3.i forget at the moment sorry

anyway hope this answers your question

What markerlights? He said magnets.. And the new rumoured markerlight rules are covered here already in more detail.

1)They are usually frailly decent in price, but it depends where you are...
2)They can come in sizes down to a 1/16" in diameter.
3)They are amazingly strong...
4)Diskmagent because it is easier to mould in.

Oh, and be sure to check out my Magnets on Crisis Suits tutorial. I used a strip magnet, however, which is a million times cheaper and strong enough to hold the weapons on; but I would recommend it for anything else...

Uh, that question is totally off topic...but I'll let it go for now.

Broadsides are more expensive because they have metal parts like the feet and the Railguns; if my memory is correct.
