Default The new crisis suit....configuration and choices

Hello my fellows...
I was thinking about the new tau codex crisis suit...
We all know the new suit will have the option of the Targetting array for 5/10 pts that cannot be HW.
Now how would you configure your new suits?
I think i will stay with Fireknife because tau have an extreme need of plasma rifle but having inly a PR on a 60 pts suit is too few shots 4 me...i think i will use markerlight for BS improving...
What do u think about?

Well, I'll agree that plasma is extremely useful in a Tau list. I think a targetting array will make twin-linked regular suits (deathrain and burning eye) much more attractive options....instead of essentially "wasting" 5-6 points for a weak support system or flamer, you can make you suits much more accurate, for little or no additional cost. Certainly handy.

I don't think it will impact anything other than that, however.

FINALLY. That extra wound and cc ability NEVER comes in handy for me...

My commander, if he dies, gets insta killed or caught by so many weapons that he's just dead in one volley... ie if I mess up I mess up a lot.

Actually foxx, I originally had the same thought that you just expressed. However, if you run some numbers, you'll see that the new Deathrain/Burning Eye are only marginally better than their current incarnations. However, what you DO get is more reliability in a smaller package. When Deathrains are twinlinked BS4, there's rarely a need to bring more than 1 or 2, meaning you use fewer slots to bring the same amount of killy-ness.

Shas'O R'myr has my vote... overloading a plasma rifle for a blast radius? Overloading a Missile Pod for a Large Blast? TEMPLATE fusion blaster?

At least thats what I hear. Wait for the codex!

If the markerlight rules are 'accurate' I'll be loading up on markerlights for my entire army! Even more so than I do now.
