Hey fella's i was just wondering if this would be a good set of heavy support for a hybrid army...
1x ionhead (for taking out light vehicles and heay troops(termies etc)) 1x railhead (for some larger menaces) 2x broadsides (for very large menaces) this only fills 3 slots and provides me with a highly versatile array of heavy weapons... Please comment on this list. Feel free to criticise. Thanks... Hawk

Sounds like a good idea. Whats the rest of your army though. You will have to fit there points into it.

Keep in mind the ion cannon is AP3, so it's not going to do much (any) teminator-busting.

Kit them out right. Give all your hammerheads decoy launchers, multi trackers, and target locks. secondary weapon system is up to you, but my preference is twin burst. 2 broadsides. give one a target lock, and for now give the other a shield gen. when the new codex comes in february, i will recommend a different broadside loadout* * 2 broadsides. shas'vre upgrade. targetting arrays. HW target lock, or else a targetting array, target lock, and HW drone controller and 2 shield drones....

Yup, looks all good. Railhead + Ionhead + Broadsides should be able to take care of pretty much anything..
As for the rest of the army, stealth team = excellent choice :P

I might suggest, though i dont know how big your army is. For 1.5-2k lists, Taking a markerlight and multi trackers for most squads tends to be benefical in my experiance. I tend to play a mix of static and mech. along with 2 hammer heads and a devil fish. Thats 12 seeker missles. Heavy support where your squad needs it
That 36in range really helps when your trying to get rid of those pesky heavy weapons squads that like to squat and fire at you all game long, or a vehical your other stuff just cant quite reach. Also can we say no cover, and all your other tanks and broadsides hitting there weapon systems on a 2+.

that seems like a pretty even choice. just remember that the broadsides are pretty much immobile. it would probably help if you also had a team of crisis suits with TW plasmas, for taking down termies.

How about an army list and total points value for the army? Then it's a little easier to see if it's balanced.
