Default Hammer Beer Float!?

Hey guys heard a interesting thing today and was wondering for my tourney this sunday. A Devilfish/Hammer/Ray/Pirhana can actually climb 6" verticly to gain Line of Sight and my fire on targets then return to ground back into cover is this true? or just something old school?

My inclination is to play things on true line of sight. Unless your group or tournament organizer has a definite ruling on line of sight shenanigans regarding flyers and skimmers, I would stick with the more conservative approach. It makes things easier, plus it's just not fun for your opponent if you have a unit that he can't hide from; like when people say their flyers have line of sight on everything since they're supposed to be way up in the sky, it can get a little ridiculous.

I have always played my skimmers as being able to move their full distance but also travel vertically without restriction to set down over a building. Granted, we've never used terrain that was much over a foot and a half tall. Having your model soar 4 feet up onto a skyscraper would be plain silly.

It doesn't work for shooting, since the movement phase ends with your vehicle parked wherever its parked and it can't move any more after that unless it goes flat out.

Just been a busy week of looking for jobs. Was still around, was still reading, but didn't feel I needed to comment on anything.
