Default minor forge world question

just a quick question, should be somewhere else in the forums; but was too lazy. im currently waiting for my piranha tx-42 to ship; (should arrive in a few days) and i have the experimental rules for it, and i currently cant order the new IA book, so my question is; does the piranha tx-42 still have the targeting array? or is it removed?
that is all.

BS3, no Target array. It may still take vehicle upgrades from the Tau Empire codex though.

Gone are they days of the stand alone Tau, and in is the age of the markerlight!

But at least on the bright side we only really had to run stand alone Tau back in the day because our markerlights were so terrible. With the current Tau codex, getting BS4 (even BS5) on just about everything in the army isn't an unreasonable thing to ask of the Tau (sometimes near the end of really successful games I have so many lights leftover without a purpose that I get to enjoy BS9 or BS10 Fire warrior squads just because!) and certainly getting that support to the squads you need that turn can be easily done!

Related to your issue though, BS3 twin-linked is still alright... but the cost feels pretty steep at their current cost (much more in line with the previous Tau codex cost).

yeah, i still wish we could have the immune-to-small-fire deathrain proxies that dominated open maps... fracking loved those things! but yeah, THANK AUN for actually helpful markerlights. if only we could get a flat out bs4 update...
