Default suit support

so when i first started playing, i only had one crisis suit, and it was my ringer, i always used it as a beefed out commander, and it did well.
14 suits later though, i use them differently, i break my army into "cells", each usually having a troop unit, a pathfinder unit, and a crisis team, giving them quality and quantity, then i break up the rest of my army accordingly. this approach usually gets me 3 objectives every game that i play (that has objectives).
but i was wondering, should i use the "monat" style for suits, and have every unit be more.... independent, and less supporting? the only time i usualy do this is when i go mech hunting with super plasma units, or tank hunting with sunforge. whats your opinion?

I never use a suit all by itself. I Al ways use teem in units. They are just to fragile, and just don't have the firepower to justify the waste of a slot, the only time I would, would be in really small point games, like under seven hundred points.

Suicide sunforge is just about the only suit configuration that I'd consider running as a monat. The very smallest units I'd do in other configurations would be pairs of battlesuits, though the leadership threshold makes a 5 model unit the optimal choice in my opinion (3 suits and 2 drones).

Single suits can also lose you the game if you roll purge the alien. Just something to consider.

i meant to run units independently, i shouldn't have used the word monat

i use TL plasma suits with a dual plasma commander, the unit is decided to run without markerlight support, as an elite hunter

Ah that's a different matter. I think twin-linked fusion squads are usually effective after a deep strike and require minimal support. Add either flamers/plasmas or target locks for flavor.
