Default What you see is what you get- Question

In the new codex I can't find pictures detailing which support system is what, I have last editions, which helps me out with a few, but I'm not sure which are which... Especially on the vehicles.
Does anyone have a good reference picture or a way to help me with this issue?
Thank you!

There are currently no official references from GW stating which do what. I have no doubt the Tau community will come together to figure out what does what, but for the time being the consensus (at least in my area) is that the you get to call the shots on what stuff does what on your models, so long as it is consistent throughout your army, and discussed when giving your army list overview.

Well, let's see:

Weapons, these are pretty much laid out in older codexes. Besides that, there are plenty of pictures with labels. I will assume we do not mean these. Also, normally this is what they pick on most when they see "What you see is what you get." No proxies.

The only two new "support" items I have seen are on the Riptide, so i would presume that these two are the counterfire defense system, the advanced targeting system, early warning override or the velocity tracker.

Counter Fire says that it is an AI system, so I can not foresee a external hardpoint.

Advanced Targeting says it is a target acquistion system. So I can also see no use for external hardpoints.

Early Warning says it is a sensor suite, so I would have to say it has a hard point. Probably the one that is a box with the sensor globes on the front and sides, similar to a Multitracker. (Page 81)

The Velocity Tracker states an advanced motion sensor system. I'd call that the item on the Riptide that has the dish. (Page 81)

Those are my best gueses for now. Other systems are specific to the model, like the Gravity Wave projector, which I believe are drone specific.
So what you are saying is that your Ground Cadre has lots of Air Support?

No. What I am saying is that my Air Support has lots of Ground Cadre.

If a Land Raider dies to a rail gun, and no one was around to see it, does the kill point still exist?

@ranzin, the gravity wave projecter is on one of the drones you get with the new pathfinder kits, you also get a shield drone conkit, and a gundrone conkit with it.
