Rules:

Many strange encounters occur on and off the battlefields of the 41st millennium; this competition is an opportunity for entrants to show a battle scene, duel, or any other interaction of models they can think of. This contest is open to any Diorama base (max size 8" by 8"). Entries for this make take longer than usual, so if you'd like to enter, but think you might not be able to finish before the end of the month, let us know and we might be able to extend the deadline.
  • Up to three pictures of your entry may be submitted.
  • Your model must be fully painted.
  • Your model may not have been entered in a previous contest.
  • Photos of your entry may not exceed 800x600 pixels.

Great stuff, I've been looking forward to this for ages. All going well, you should have my entry before the deadline.

Mine, if it comes in on time will definately be at the very end of the month (I have to assemble and paint two big models, one of which is coming in the post and the other I haven't bought yet, and I also need to buy terrain)

All that in mind, is it worth me attempting to get it done or waiting until the next diorama competition happens?

Does this mean that a diorama featuring DKoK would be disqualified? The rules say so, but to be honest... that's a really silly ruling.

I'm definitely down for this, I just might be a day or too late, as I am part of a theatre group that is putting on a show for March 13 and 14th. If I play my cards right I should be able to get it done in time, but if not it might be a day or two late .

You start allowing some and you'll have to allow it all.

I don't think there's anyone who could seriously argue that normal IG look as good as standard DKoK without a massive modeling effort.

I can see both sides of the arguement. Although I would be irritated if I couldn't be allowed to submit my FW model, I can understant the fact that there shouldn't really be exceptions.

Anyway, I've had an idea for a simpler diorama and (as long as my bitz arrive soon) I may just be able to get them done in time.

EDIT: Parts ordered. I'm going to enter

If anyone wants to use FW they should ask Dra.
Some FW things have been allowed on a case by case basis.
It is not the matter of if you allow some you have to allow all.
It is completely up to the discretion of the admins.
Oh and it is better to actually ask, instead of whine about it elsewhere because it really won't help to persuade the runners of these contests

Hmmm anyway...
This is a cool contest,
I'd love to do it, but one it wuld be a waste f models I can't spare, and 2 I probably will not finish this in time anyway :

Good luck to all the entries however, I'm buzzing to see the results of this contest.
