Default Poorhammer Contest [RULES]

Dates:
  • Entries can be submitted via a PM to Dra'Tuisich-Novae from Febuary 1[sup]st[/sup] till Febuary 21[sup]st[/sup].
  • Voting will take place between Febuary 22[sup]nd[/sup] and Febuary 27[sup]th[/sup].
  • Winners will be announced on the 28[sup]th[/sup] of Febuary.

Prizes:

1st Place - 10pts
2nd Place - 5pts
3rd Place - 2pts

(The top 3 all receive official TO winners seals as well).

Rules:

We here at Tau Online know that the current economic situation is dire, and money for models may be even harder to come by than it has been in the past. This contest is to remind you that you don't need to have real models to have fun. This contest is open to any proxy for a single 40k miniature, made of any cheap materials you can come up with.

The model must closely resemble in form the model it is made to proxy - it can't just be a coke bottle with 'Carnifex' written down the side. Get creative! If we don't think an entry is within the spirit of the competition we won't let it in. If you are unsure if your idea is suitable, give Cameron or Hive Lord a PM and we'll let you know before you start.

Some of last year's entries can be seen here and here.
  • Up to three pictures of your entry may be submitted.
  • Your model may not have been entered in a previous contest.
  • Photos of your entry may not exceed 800x600 pixels.

Ah, I understand now. I'll probably give this a try if I manage to make some free time; although because of that my entry wouldn't be as good as the two examples provided. Still, it might be worth a shot.

Those are just particularly good examples; there's a lot you can do with the theme. Lonely Tau had spare hands coming out of bases with cardboard tombstones for Fantasy Skeletons/Zombies, and while a Coke can labeled Dreadnought isn't eligible, add a couple straws, plasticine feet, and a pocket knife blade, then you're good to go!

Two question about this one:
-one of the examples is unpainted, is it ok to submitt unpainted model?
-can an entry have some gw parts other than weapons?

Yes. There's no rule stating it has to be painted.

Can I submit materials for BFG? Ender is pressuring me to, and I want to also.
