Default Best Conversion Competition [Rules]

Hey all,

Please PM your entries to either myself or 42.

Best Conversion Competition

Dates -

The deadline for entries (submitted to 42) is the 20th of August.
Voting begins on the 21st of August and ends on the 29th.
Winner announced on the 30th of August.

Prizes -

1st Place - 10pts
2nd Place - 5pts
3rd Place - 2pts

(The top 3 all receive official TO winners seals too).

Rules -

In many competitions, conversions are allowed - here, they are mandatory! Any model may be entered, but it must be visibly and significantly converted. No Forge World models are allowed, but vehicles are permitted - any single model may be entered, no matter how large or small. As usual, you can include up to three pictures of the model, and the model may not have been entered in a previous competition. Unlike in most competitions, you are encouraged to submit at least one unpainted photo of the model, so we can see just what was done to it. Remember, only judge these entries by the conversion, not the paintscheme!

Thanks.

Awesome.

I shall be finishing off a project I've been working on a while for this comp...should be good fun!

Oh, and by the way, in case any of you wondered - if we get enough entries, we will split the voting into two (I think we did this last time) - Vehicular and Non-Vehicular.

Can we use modles that are to be like a forge world model?

Such as a Salamander made out of card and stuff? It's still unpainted so you can see that it's not Fw...

If you can tell it's not FW, then it should be fine!

Good luck all

I'm going to ask the stupid question: this is 40K models only? Or GW?

Accually that is a very good question....

I have this dark Elf that would be so awesome... THough as the only model I've painted really well I might save it for a painting compatition...

40k only I'm afraid!
If it makes you feel any better, any non-40k model would probably have been disadvantaged in the voting anyway

Good idea.
We had a WHFB Regiment contest back in April, and we try not to do Fantasy competitions too often (because this is primarily a 40k site), so I can't tell you when the next one will be.
Maybe we will have 'Best Single WHFB Miniature' as one of the possibilities in an upcoming 'You Decide The Contest' vote - keep an eye open for it!

No, it doesn't. :P
This conversion needs to be painted as well? And never have been shown in any other thread, right?
