Default Eldar OOTB Painting Competition [RULES]

With the release of the shiny new Eldar range, this month's painting competition will be another OOTB competition (Out of the Box), this time for the new Eldar WraithLord.

Basically you have to submit the best Eldar Wraithlord you can using only the materials (plus obviously paint and glue etc.) that you can find in the box that it comes in. A true test of the best painter and the most resourcful modeller!

Normal Competition Rules Apply:

-The entry must be fully painted
-Conversions are allowed, but remember, you can't use anything that you wouldn't find inside the new Wraithlord Box!
-The entry should be all your own work
-No more than three images may be sumitted per entry
-The closing date for entries is the 21st of January and they should be either pm'ed to me or anyone else on the Competition Committee!

So snap up an Eldar Wraithlord soon and get painting and photographing!

Can we have dynamic bases or do they have to be flat and uninteresting?

Bases can be dynamic within the realms of what you can find in the box! You could just take the Wraithlord off his base for photographing though if you want to make a more dynamic base.

When is the New Wraithlord released? I don't believe he's available in Canada for another week at least... If not longer.

Unfortunatly i dont play eldar so buying a wraithlord would not only be time consuming when i have 20 imperial gaurd soldiers and two tanks to paint instead, but also a waste of money that i can otherwise spend on christmas presents. ;D

Ill have to sit this one out. You know give other people a chance to win....

I think it's kindof a shame to limit the competiton to a single miniature - especially one that costs so much ... I mean, at least people could get aspect warriors from friends, or online cheap, but there's no quick way around a brand new Wraithlord.

Oh well. Hope to see more than 3 entires for this one.

I also think there won't be many entries with this model choice. An Autarch would have been better (cheaper, cooler, and with much more conversion and painting possibilities). However it's just my opinion, good luck to everyone.

Hmm, how about changing this to any new Eldar model instead of just a Wraithlord?

Hmm, that would degrade it into "I like Striking Scorpians, and there is only one entry of those, guess that gets my vote." instead of "This one is the best painted it gets my vote for sure!", at least thats how it would be for most people.
