Default Heavy Support Competition [VOTING]

Hey everyone,

All I can say to the response for this competition is great stuff! Both in terms of quality and quantity this looks to be another very high standard of competition, far surpassing the last Heavy Support Painting Competition we had! Remember, to make things as fair/secret as possible please don't say who's entry is who's or who you'ev voted for - oh and no voting for yourself! We can check...!

Good luck to all that entered, due to the large response prizes will be as follows -

1st Place - 10 Competition Points
2nd Place - 6 Competition Points
3rd Place - 4 Competition Points
4th Place - 2 Competition Points

Entry A -

Entry B -

Entry C -

Entry D -

Entry E -

Entry F -

Entry G-

Entry H -

Entry I -

Entry J -

This makes me sad that I didn't finish that broadside in time ... There's a lack of variety for my tastes. In general, nice work.

Kudos to the guy/gal who actually did up a Skyray. Added props for the sniper drones, thus giving us 1 entry that isn't a tank.

5 Hammerheads!!! I've never seen so many HH in a single thread, and also other 4 entries are tanks. Sincerely I was expecting some more variety, but seems there's some kind of fixation here for big armored flying (or wheeled) things ;D. That's many hours of hard painting and lots of paint in this thread, if you ask me.
One advice for hammerhead painters, though. Gloss varnish? NO, NO, and a hundred times NO. Avoid it at all costs, it's the best way to ruin a well painted tank (all the effort you put in shadowing and highlighting gets obscured by the reflections and shine of the gloss varnish).
-TX-117 "Cuttlefish" Super-Heavy Flyer: 75%
-Tyranid Biotitan: 50%
-TYranid "Magma Corer": 0%

Wow...so many Hammerheads in one contest! A first for Tau Online I guess. Heehe....I initially wanted to enter my Sniper Drone Team in this competition but could make the deadline. Well, at least there is someone who entered not one, but TWO Sniper Drone Teams!

Hmm...kind of hard to decide.

results are showing after voting.

I voted, it was close. There is still a distinct difference between very good and just good painters. Myself, I picked what I considered the best amatuer paint job. Accept for the mold lines, it is a nice scheme.

I really like seeing the differences in paint schemes for Tau also. All good gents/lassies.

I really struggled with my vote - I had to pick on at random :P

I agree. This one is a tough fight. I came in, took a look, then held my vote as I needed to carefully consider and then came back to vote a day later.

Good job to all the contestants! This is exactly how a real contest should be like!

entry C) would have looked better under more natural lighting conditions .

entry F) had a nice paint pattern and tron theme going on . if the lines were a little cleaner it would be so much more kick butt

entry I) had a nice subdued woodland camo theme going for it.

also guys on account of making these comments I deside not to vote for anyone for the sake of fairness as I also liked the other entries too
